Media Guidelines & Logos

  • Follow these guidelines to ensure consistency, legibility, and accurate reproduction of the corporate logo across all/any media.

    Our Corporate Logo

    The foundation of the graphic identity and image of MOTOR relies on the representation of our corporate logo. As the visual treatment of our company name, it is our signature. It is critical that any affiliations with MOTOR display our logo consistently.

    Spacing

    Separate the logo from other elements in the layout with a safety area. See the illustration below for the correct margin. The safety area is proportional to the size of the logo. The clear space around the logo must always be equal to, or greater than, 1/2 the x-height of the MOTOR name. 

    Color

    Use the blue MOTOR logo whenever possible. The black and white logo is intended for instances that do not have the color space to use the color logo. The color value for MOTOR blue is: 

      • cmyk: 89, 18, 0, 0 
      • rgb: 0,156, 220 
      • hex #009cdc 

    The background color must never make the logo illegible. Never place the logo on a busy or patterned background. 

    Size and Placement

    Digital: The logo must be at least 120px wide minimum at 72ppi. 

    Print:  The minimum height required is 0.25″(6.35 mm) at minimum 150ppi. 

    Video and dynamic situations:  The logo must be visible for longer than 3 seconds at a time. 

    Do not:
    • Use the logo in a sentence
    • Skew or distort the logo in any way
    Approvals

    MOTOR reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to approve all intended uses or displays of the MOTOR Logos, including but not limited to all placement, screenshots, artwork, etc.  Approvals will not be unreasonably withheld. 

  • This link contains the MOTOR logos in different formats for use. Logos may be resized proportionally but not modified in any other way.
